Our Journey Here at Dig Daddy

Our name

We DIG DIG DIG …… but it wasn’t always that way. Dig Daddy is a division of Victoria’s Level Lift House Lifting company.

Our crew started lifting houses in 1994. Early on we realized that many of the houses we lifted also needed new foundations. So be bought excavating equipment to remove the old foundations and the soil to make way for the new foundations.

Having the excavating and trucking equipment made it easy for us to also dig for the new storm & sanitary sewers, water lines, underground hydro services and to do the driveway prep. Before long we were handling all of the earthwork requirements for our house lift customers.

Word of our capability and experience got out, and soon contractors & homeowners were calling us to do all of their general excavating work.

Nowadays, most of our excavating work has nothing to do with house lifting! We dig, haul and convey almost anything. Feel free to check our services page.

Riggers & Cargo Insurance to cover your building if it needs to be shored up to excavate under it. Homeowners’ and regular contractors’ insurance does not cover this situation. We’ve never had to make a claim.
